Not a surprise, nevertheless very unfortunate: Following the Maschinenbauforum in Pforzheim, which should have taken place next week, the trade fair Metallsoftware SÜD in Suhl has now also paid tribute to the difficult disease situation related to the Corona virus and cancelled the event in December. Innosoft was a registered exhibitor at both events.
Unfortunately, this means that in 2020 there will no longer be any possibility for us to personally meet you at such an opportunity and present the new solutions of the Field Service Management live and directly to you. We would have preferred it otherwise, but of course we accept the cancellations in all respects, as the rapidly worsening pandemic in Germany and its neighbouring countries leaves no other option open.
The Maschinenbauforum (Mechanical Engineering Forum) with the theme “After Sales Service“, scheduled for 10 and 11 November, was cancelled despite an “excellent and approved safety plan“, due to an official order by the city of Pforzheim, which banned all events involving more than 50 people during the nationwide lockdown. The reasoning behind the cancellation of the fair Metallsoftware SÜD, which was set for 10 December 2020, is somewhat different.
“Even though the nationwide lockdown has just been set until the end of November, we do not consider the risk for all participating companies and visitors to be acceptable,“ the organizers‘ statement says. “Some exhibitors were already questioning their participation. By means of this e‑mail we would now like to offer planning security.“ This is certainly a reasonable decision, as reliable forecasts for December are simply not possible at present.
The organizers of the Maschinenbauforum plan “on holding the event again in early summer next year,“ but no precise dates have yet been set. The next Metallsoftware SÜD is scheduled to take place on 20 May 2020, and we will keep you informed as soon as the venue and other information have been determined. Also planned is a virtual trade fair platform with a distinct stand for each exhibitor – “a permanent information platform for curious visitors.“ We will report back to you as soon as more information is available.
